Administration

Phonebooks and visibility

Bundle sources into phonebooks and assign them to locations, users or everyone.

EasyUC · Version 4.8.7

In EasyUC: EasyUC Cisco → Administration → Integrations & Communication → Phonebooks → Manage Phonebooks

What it is for

A phonebook in EasyUC is a container for contacts from one or more sources. It determines who sees the contacts: specific locations, individual users or everyone.

The contacts appear in the directory of the Cisco phones and are used for the name display through CURRI. The contacts themselves come from sources that you connect separately.

Prerequisites

  • Access to the administration of the Cisco workspace, licence module cucm.
  • For contacts, a phonebook source or a CSV file.

Step by step

  1. Open Administration → Integrations & Communication → Phonebooks → Manage Phonebooks.
  2. Click Create.
  3. Enter the Phonebook Name.
  4. Under Phonebook Sources, select the sources if any exist already.
  5. Under Assign to, select one of the options Location(s), Enduser or Global.
  6. For Location(s), select the Locations. For Enduser, select the users.
  7. Click Save.
  8. Under CURRI → Phonebook, check whether the contacts appear after the synchronisation.

Check the result and troubleshoot

  • The list shows sources, locations and end users for each phonebook. Without an assignment it shows Global.
  • Deleting is only possible once no source is assigned to the phonebook any more: "Please first check the assigned Phonebook Sources!"
  • If a user does not see a contact, check the assignment, the source and the last synchronisation.
  • The ACD phonebook has its own team assignment and is separate from these phonebooks.
