CUCM connection options
Selecting MoH nodes
Define which CUCM servers EasyUC uploads music on hold and announcements to.
In EasyUC: EasyUC Cisco → Administration → CUCM & Provisioning → CUCM Connections → Actions → MoH servers
What it is for
A music on hold file must be present on every CUCM server that is to play it. EasyUC therefore uploads audio files for music on hold and for announcements to the servers of the cluster. With this action you restrict the upload to selected servers.
If the list is empty, EasyUC processes all eligible servers of the cluster. As soon as at least one server is selected, EasyUC skips all others during the upload. The selection itself changes nothing in the CUCM. It takes effect only the next time a file is uploaded or updated.
Prerequisites
- License with provisioning (
provisioning). Without it, the entry is missing from the Actions menu. - Sign-in as an administrator. In the menu definition, the Administration menu is assigned only to the role
ROLE_APP_ADMIN. - The CUCM connection is enabled. For a disabled connection, Actions shows only Enable Connection.
- You know on which CUCM servers the music on hold service is running.
Step by step
Fields and options
| Field / action | Meaning and use |
|---|---|
| Nodes | Multiple selection from the servers (process nodes) of the CUCM cluster of this connection. Default: empty. Empty means: no restriction. |
Checking the result and narrowing down errors
- Success: after the next upload, the file is present only on the selected servers.
- The selection does not move files that have already been uploaded. After a change, upload the affected files again.
- Music on hold is missing on a server: check whether it is in the selection. A successful upload to one server is not enough if further servers play the music.
- The list is empty or incomplete: EasyUC reads the servers from the CUCM. Check the AXL connectivity with Update Connection.
