End-user portal
Profile picture, language, design and two-factor sign-in
Personal settings in the portal: photo, interface language, colour scheme and authenticator 2FA.
In EasyUC: Enduser portal → Header → User menu
What it is for
In the header of the portal you set how the interface looks for you, and you protect your sign-in with a second factor.
Name, number, department and email address come from CUCM and are only displayed in the portal. The administrators can change them. You do not change password and PIN in the portal either.
With two-factor sign-in the portal asks for a six-digit code in addition to the password. An authenticator app on your smartphone generates the code.
Prerequisites
- The enduser portal is switched on for your CUCM connection (Enable Enduser Local Site) and you can sign in.
- For two-factor sign-in by app: an authenticator app for time-based codes on your smartphone. No special release by the administrators is needed.
- If the administrators have switched on two-factor sign-in by email for everyone, you receive the code by email. Your user needs an email address for that.
Step by step: photo, language and design
Step by step: set up the authenticator
Fields and options
| Field / action | Meaning and use |
|---|---|
| Photo | Profile picture on the dashboard. Without a picture the portal shows your initials. |
| Language | English, German or Spanish. At first sign-in the language from your CUCM user or your location applies. |
| Design | Colour scheme of the interface. Applies to your browser. |
| Six-digit code | Current code from the authenticator app. Exactly six digits. |
| Authenticator 2FA is active | Status display in the 2FA window when the second factor is set up. |
Check the result and troubleshoot
- Success with 2FA: sign out and in again. After the password, Enter your two-factor authentication code appears.
- “Enter a valid six-digit code.”: the code is wrong or has expired. Check the time on your smartphone and use the current code.
- After several wrong codes the portal locks the entry for a few minutes. Wait and then try again.
- Smartphone lost or app deleted: the administrators can reset your authenticator. After that, sign-in works without a code again and you set up the authenticator anew.
- “Unable to load 2FA settings.”: close the window and open it again.
- Forgotten password or password change: the portal has no function for this. Contact the administrators.
