What it is for

With Create you create a local user in the CUCM. EasyUC takes the basic settings from the user template of the selected location, adds your entries, writes the user to the CUCM via AXL and reserves the phone number in the EasyUC number plan. EasyUC builds the display name according to the naming rules of the connection.

You edit existing users in the user profile. It offers separate dialogs for master data with password and PIN, for the update from a template, for language, phone number, service profile and primary extension. For users from LDAP, the directory maintains the master data. For them, EasyUC offers only password, PIN, language, service profile and the template update.

Creating a user does not create a phone yet. With Save and Add Device you continue directly to device creation.

  • Success when creating: the dialog closes without a red field message. Search for the user ID in the overview and open the profile. The Privileges Correct tile shows Correct if the template assigns the expected CUCM roles.
  • Please select a location: the location is missing.
  • Please select a template: in classic template mode the template is required.
  • This value should not be blank.: last name, user ID or phone number is empty. The message appears at the affected field.
  • Message of the form … and … do not match at password or PIN: the value and its repetition do not match.
  • If the CUCM reports an error, for example because the user ID is already taken or the password does not meet the password policy, the dialog stays open and shows the message. Correct the value and save again.
  • The fields for name and number are missing in the Update dialog: the user comes from LDAP. Change the master data in the directory and wait for the synchronization.
  • This enduser has attached a voicemail extension: note in the dialog for the primary extension. Use the checkbox to decide whether the extension of the mailbox is changed as well.
  • After a number change, check the profile, the assigned devices and the Voicemail tab together.
  • The Generate Password and Generate PIN buttons are missing: the end-user password rules are not activated.
