CUCM connection options

Enduser site and self-service

Switch on the enduser portal per CUCM connection and release single portal functions.

EasyUC · Version 4.8.7

In EasyUC: Administration → CUCM & Provisioning → CUCM Connections → Actions → End-user site

What it is for

With this connection action you switch on the enduser portal for a CUCM connection and define which areas the endusers see there. Each connection has its own settings and its own portal address.

The switches control menu and server functions at the same time. A user cannot reach an area that is switched off by opening the page directly either.

The complete procedure with sign-in, two-factor sign-in and logo is in the chapter “Provide the enduser portal”.

Prerequisites

  • Role ROLE_APP_ADMIN.
  • Licence with enduser portal. For Enduser Phonebook the phonebook licence as well.
  • The CUCM connection is set up and enabled.
  • For Allow users to send faxes: SMTP is set up and a mail-to-fax gateway accepts PDF attachments.
  • For Greeting speech to text: a service of your own over HTTPS that accepts a WAV file and returns the text as JSON.
  • For Ecc Profile: the External Call Control Profile exists in CUCM.

Step by step

  1. Open Administration → CUCM & Provisioning → CUCM Connections.
  2. In the row of the connection, click Actions and select Enduser Local Site.
  3. Read the portal address at the top of the End-user site window: https://<appliance address>/enduser/?connection=<ID>.
  4. Switch on Enable Enduser Local Site.
  5. Set the switches under Dashboard capabilities.
  6. Set the switches under Fax and voicemail capabilities. For fax sending or the text view, expand Fax delivery and transcription integrations and fill in the fields.
  7. Set Show Only Call Forward All, Enduser Phonebook (with Ecc Profile), Enduser Device Request and the three voicemail panels.
  8. Click Save. Cancel closes the window without a change.

Check the result and troubleshoot

  • Sign in to the portal with a test user and compare menu and dashboard with the switches you set.
  • “Enter a fax gateway email pattern containing {number}.”: the pattern does not contain the placeholder or is not a valid address.
  • “Enter a valid HTTPS transcription URL.”: the address does not start with https://.
  • Dependent switches without effect: Allow users to change busy trigger needs busy control, Phone registration status the phones, Allow users to send faxes the fax inbox and Greeting speech to text the voicemail menu.
  • The Enduser Local Site action is missing in the Actions menu: the connection is disabled or the licence does not include provisioning.
  • Administrator view and enduser view differ. An existing administrator function does not prove a release for endusers.
