EasyUC in your data centre
Install EasyUC as a virtual appliance on your infrastructure. Installation, updates and licence validation can run offline. Microsoft Teams integration requires a connection to Microsoft.

A virtual appliance with K3s
EasyUC ships as an OVA. You import it into VMware or Proxmox, assign network addresses and start the machine. Inside runs K3s, a lightweight Kubernetes distribution, with the EasyUC services as containers.
Everything EasyUC needs is inside the appliance: MariaDB as the database, RabbitMQ as the message broker, Elasticsearch, and Traefik as the reverse proxy. No external services are required.
- OVA
- VMware / Proxmox
- K3s
- Air-gapped install
- Offline updates
- Signed licence file
- Encrypted full backup
Installation and operation with EasyUC Manager
EasyUC Manager is the operations interface. It installs the services in the K3s cluster, applies updates and licences, and shows the state of each service. No Kubernetes knowledge needed.
- Installing the EasyUC services
- Applying update packages
- Uploading the licence file
- Service status
- Full backup, restore and disaster recovery
- Adding and removing nodes
- Web certificate and signed operating system patches
Installation without internet access
Many telephony environments live on networks with no route to the internet. That is what the air-gapped installation is for: all container images come in an offline package, and nothing is downloaded during installation.
- 1
Download the packages
Download the OVA and the offline packages from the customer portal on a machine with internet access.
- 2
Verify and transfer
Compare the checksums and move the files into the internal network the way your security policy prescribes.
- 3
Import
Import the OVA into VMware or Proxmox and load the offline packages in EasyUC Manager.
- 4
Add the licence
Upload the licence file. EasyUC verifies the signature locally.
Local licence validation
The licence file contains your installation, the licensed modules and quantities, and the expiry date. It is signed, and EasyUC verifies the signature locally. There is no licence server EasyUC has to reach.
When you renew or extend, you download a new licence file from the customer portal and upload it.

Updates in your maintenance window
New versions, patches and hotfixes are published in the customer portal with release notes and a checksum. You decide when to apply an update.
- Update packages work offline
- Release notes and checksum for every package
- Stable, LTS and preview channels
- Updates included for the licence term
- One signed package file per release, dropped into the Manager
- Before installation: signature, disk space per node and expected interruption
- On an error the Manager reverts to the previous version, including the database
System requirements
How much CPU, memory and storage the appliance needs depends on how many agents work at the same time, how many voice channels run through the SBC and how long you keep reports and captures. We size it together with you before you create the VM.
| Hypervisor | VMware or Proxmox |
|---|---|
| Delivery | OVA |
| CUCM | 11.5 or later, tested with 12.5 to 15 |
| Network | connection to CUCM; for Teams also a public DNS name and firewall rules for 5061/TCP and 20000–20999/UDP |
| Internet access | not required |
| Sizing | based on agents, channels and retention, worked out with us |
