CUCM connection options

Widget Load Settings

Define which areas in the end-user and device profile load immediately and which only on click.

EasyUC · Version 4.8.7

In EasyUC: EasyUC Cisco → Administration → CUCM & Provisioning → CUCM Connections → Actions → Widget loading

What it is for

The profile page of a user and that of a device consist of several areas, for example call data, groups, voicemail or forwarders. Each area triggers its own queries to the CUCM, Unity Connection or the call data when opened. In large environments this takes time.

With this action you define per connection which areas load their data automatically. A deselected area stays visible but initially shows only the Load data button. The query then runs only on click. The setting takes effect only in the EasyUC administration interface. Nothing changes in the CUCM.

Prerequisites

  • License with provisioning (provisioning). Without it, the entry is missing from the Actions menu.
  • Sign-in as an administrator. In the menu definition, the Administration menu is assigned only to the role ROLE_APP_ADMIN.
  • The CUCM connection is enabled. For a disabled connection, Actions shows only Enable Connection.

Step by step

  1. In the header, select the EasyUC Cisco workspace.
  2. In the menu, open Administration → CUCM & Provisioning → CUCM Connections. The page is titled Manage CUCM Connections.
  3. In the row of the connection you want, click Actions. The Menu popover opens.
  4. Click Widget Load Settings. The Widget loading dialog opens.
  5. In the Enduser Profile area, tick the data that is to be loaded immediately when a user profile is opened.
  6. In the Device Profile area, tick the data that is to be loaded immediately when a device profile is opened.
  7. Click Save (top right or at the bottom of the dialog). After a successful save, the dialog closes and the message Success appears. Cancel discards your entries.
  8. Reload the page in the browser and open a user profile. Deselected areas show Load data.

Checking the result and narrowing down errors

  • Success: ticked areas load by themselves when the profile is opened; deselected ones show Load data.
  • The dialog explains the effect itself: checked options load the data automatically, unchecked ones only manually after the page has been opened.
  • An empty area is not an error. Click Load data before you suspect a missing configuration.
  • The change has no effect: reload the page. The interface reads the setting together with the connection data.
  • An area does not load despite the tick: the signed-in account may lack the permission for this area.
