CURRI Blacklist: block callers

Block calling numbers and see which calls were rejected.

EasyUC · Version 4.8.7

In EasyUC: EasyUC Cisco → CURRI → Blacklist

What it is for

The blacklist rejects calls from specific calling numbers, for example in the case of repeated advertising or nuisance calls. The CUCM queries EasyUC via CURRI; if the calling number is on the list, the call is not delivered.

The blacklist concerns the caller. You create rules for a called number under CURRI Calls.

Prerequisites

  • CURRI is connected in the CUCM.
  • Permissions View Blacklist Page (ROLE_APP_VIEW_CURRI_BLACKLIST_PAGE) and Create Blacklist (ROLE_APP_CREATE_CURRI_BLACKLIST), for removing Delete Blacklist.

Step by step

  1. Open CURRI → Blacklist. The page is called Blacklist.
  2. Click Add Number.
  3. Enter the Telephone Number and a Name that describes the reason or the caller.
  4. Click Save.
  5. On the entry, click Blocked Numbers to see the rejected calls with their time.
  6. Click Delete to remove the block.

Check the result and troubleshoot

  • The entry is in the list and can be filtered by telephone number and name.
  • A rejected call appears under Curri Logs with the result Blocked number.
  • If a call is delivered despite the entry, compare the notation of the number with the calling number in the CURRI log.
  • If the log entry is missing completely, the call does not run via CURRI. Check the profile in the CUCM.
