CUCM connection options
Photo Server
Set up the SFTP account and storage directory for the photo files of a CUCM connection.
In EasyUC: EasyUC Cisco → Administration → CUCM & Provisioning → CUCM Connections → Actions → Photo server
What it is for
With this action you set up a dedicated SFTP account on the EasyUC server for the photo files of a CUCM connection. The user name is fixed and is photo-<ID of the connection>. You only assign the password.
On saving, EasyUC creates the account if it does not exist yet, sets the password and creates the associated directory in the data area of the server. Nothing is changed in the CUCM. The directory is part of the full backup (group “Photos and branding”).
As a hint, the dialog shows the address sftp://{{VM_ip_address}}. The placeholder stands for the address of your EasyUC server.
Prerequisites
- License with provisioning (
provisioning). Without it, the entry is missing from the Actions menu. - Sign-in as an administrator. In the menu definition, the Administration menu is assigned only to the role
ROLE_APP_ADMIN. - The CUCM connection is enabled. For a disabled connection, Actions shows only Enable Connection.
- The system that stores the photos reaches the EasyUC server via SFTP.
Step by step
Fields and options
| Field / action | Meaning and use |
|---|---|
| Enable | Switches on the photo server for this connection. Default: off. The account fields appear only when the switch is on. |
| FTP User | Fixed: photo-<ID of the connection>. The field is locked. The server sets the name itself on saving. |
| FTP Password | New password of the account. The field is always empty when the dialog opens. If it stays empty, an existing account keeps its password. Without an entry, a newly created account receives a random password and can be used only once you assign one. |
| Ftp Retype Password | Must match FTP Password. The server checks this on saving. |
Checking the result and narrowing down errors
- Success: the dialog closes, the message Success appears and the SFTP sign-in with
photo-<ID>works. - If the dialog stays open, the error message is shown directly below the affected field. Most common cause: the two password fields do not match.
- Sign-in fails: assign the password again. The field never displays a stored password.
- Do not confuse the account with the CDR account of the connection. The two are managed separately.
