End-user portal

Block callers in the portal

Block unwanted numbers for all or for single numbers of your own.

EasyUC · Version 4.8.7

In EasyUC: Enduser portal → Block Numbers

What it is for

On the Block Numbers page you enter numbers whose calls you no longer want to receive. The block applies either to all your numbers or only to selected ones.

Technically, CUCM asks EasyUC through an External Call Control Profile on incoming calls whether the call may be delivered. If the caller is on your block list, the call is rejected. Your phone does not ring.

Prerequisites

  • The enduser portal is switched on for your CUCM connection (Enable Enduser Local Site) and you can sign in.
  • The administrators have released Enduser Phonebook and the licence includes the phonebook. The block list belongs to this release.
  • The administrators have set up the call check through an External Call Control Profile (Ecc Profile) for your numbers. Without this check the list is saved but has no effect.

Step by step

  1. Click Block Numbers in the menu.
  2. Click Add number.
  3. In the Block phone number window, enter the caller's number under Phone Number.
  4. Enter a description under Name so that you recognise the entry later.
  5. Under Directory Numbers, select your own numbers the block should apply to. If you leave the field empty, the block applies to all your numbers.
  6. Click Save.
  7. To lift the block, click the bin icon in the row and confirm with Yes, remove it!

Check the result and troubleshoot

  • Success: message “The number … was successfully blocked!” and the entry is in the table.
  • Test: have the blocked number call you. Your phone must not ring.
  • The call still arrives: the notation of the number differs from the transmitted number (for example with or without +49), or the call check is not set up for your number. Contact the administrators.
  • “Please enter the phone number” or “Please enter the name”: a required field is empty.
  • “Successfully removed the phone number”: the block is lifted.
  • The menu item is missing: the phonebook is not released for your connection.
