Administration
Phonebook sources and synchronisation
Link external sources or CSV files with phonebooks and map the fields.
In EasyUC: EasyUC Cisco → Administration → Integrations & Communication → Phonebooks → Phonebook Sources
What it is for
A phonebook source connects an external source with one or more phonebooks. EasyUC reads the contacts at fixed intervals, creates new ones, updates changed ones and deletes removed ones.
The external source can be LDAP, MySQL, PostgreSQL, MS SQL or the CUCM. Without an external source, you import contacts from a CSV file. The page also shows the addresses at which Cisco phones retrieve the corporate directory and the personal directory.
Prerequisites
- Access to the administration of the Cisco workspace, licence module
cucm. - A configured external source under External Sources or a CSV file.
- At least one phonebook as the target.
- For database sources, a field that uniquely identifies each contact.
Step by step: Link an external source

Check the result and troubleshoot
- Next Sync shows the date of the next run or Running.
- Actions → Logs shows created, updated or deleted for each synchronisation and contact. info shows the values before and after.
- If a contact is missing, first check the phone number and last name in the source, then the field mapping.
- A changed unique index causes contacts to be created anew instead of updated.
- Check the imported contacts under CURRI → Phonebook.
