Members and line groups of a hunt group

What it is for

In CUCM, the members of a hunt group are stored in the Line Group. The order of the lines, together with the distribution algorithm, determines who rings first.

With Manage Members you change the members of all line groups of a hunt group in one dialog, without opening the other settings. If the hunt group has several line groups, each one gets its own tab.

Prerequisites

• Permission Update Hunt Groups (ROLE_APP_UPDATE_HUNT_GROUP).
• The hunt group has at least one line group. Without a line group the menu item is missing.
• The lines of the future members exist in CUCM.

Step by step: Change members

1. Open Groups → Hunt Groups and find the hunt group.
2. On the card, select Action → Manage Members.
3. If there are several line groups, select the matching tab. Each tab shows the number of members.
4. On the left, under Found Users, search by name or phone number.
5. Drag a card from the left to the desired position on the right to add it.
6. Drag cards within the right column to change the order.
7. Drag a card out of the right column to remove the member.
8. If required, select a pickup group for new members.
9. Click Save. Until then, changed tabs carry the note changed.

Step by step: Sign phones in or out

1. On the Line Group card, click the icon for showing the members. The list of members opens.
2. Select the phones whose sign-in status you want to change.
3. Click Login or Logout. EasyUC sets the hunt group login status (HLOG) of the selected phones.
4. Click Close.

Check the result and troubleshoot

• "Changes apply to the line group itself and therefore to every hunt group that uses it." Before saving, check whether the line group is used more than once.
• "Removed members are also taken out of the pickup group of the hunt group." This note appears when the Hunt Pilot has a pickup group.
• "this numplan will be moved to the selected pickup group": The line currently belongs to a different pickup group.
• "Saving failed, the current state is being reloaded.": Click Reload on the affected tab and repeat the change.
• "The hunt group no longer exists or is not accessible. Nothing was saved." or "You are not allowed to change this hunt group. Nothing was saved.": Check the CUCM inventory, location access and permissions.
• The HLOG switch applies device-wide to all hunt groups. You control participation in a single group through group sign-in.
