EasyUC for Cisco
Route patterns and translation patterns
View, copy and edit routing patterns and create new translation patterns.
In EasyUC: EasyUC Cisco → Route Patterns / Translation Patterns
What it is for
Route patterns route dialled numbers to gateways or trunks. Translation patterns rewrite numbers before the CUCM continues routing. Both affect entire number ranges.
EasyUC shows the patterns of the released partitions and allows targeted changes to the pattern, the description and the two transformation masks. Translation patterns can additionally be created from a template or with Template 2.0.
Prerequisites
- Licence module
cucm. - Permissions View Route Patterns Page (
ROLE_APP_VIEW_ROUTE_PATTERN_PAGE) or View Translation Patterns Page (ROLE_APP_VIEW_TRANS_PATTERN_PAGE), plus the permissions to copy, update, create or delete. - The views are enabled on the CUCM connection and the allowed partitions are set.
- For new translation patterns: a template or the enabled Template 2.0 area Translation Patterns at the location.
Step by step: Edit a pattern

Check the result and troubleshoot
- The changed entry appears in the list with the new masks.
- If the menu item is missing, check the page permission and whether the view is enabled on the CUCM connection.
- If a pattern is missing from the list, its partition is not among the allowed partitions.
- After every change, test one call through the pattern and one through a neighbouring number to detect overlaps.
- Deleted patterns can be restored with the permissions Restore Route Patterns or Restore Translation Patterns.
