EasyUC for Cisco
Groups at a glance: pickup, hunt groups, music on hold
Which group functions exist and in which order you set them up.
In EasyUC: EasyUC Cisco → Groups
What it is for
The Groups menu combines three CUCM functions: Pickup Groups (Call Pickup), Hunt Groups (Hunt Pilot, Hunt List, Line Group) and MOH Sources (music on hold).
Pickup groups and hunt groups are displayed as cards. Each card shows the most important values and leads via Action to editing, member management and deletion. This chapter puts the functions into context; the click sequences are in the linked chapters.
Prerequisites
- Licence module
cucmand an active CUCM connection. - At least one of the permissions View Hunt Groups Page, View Pickup Groups Page or View MOH Sources Page. Without these permissions the menu is missing.
- Locations, packages and either templates or Template 2.0 are set up.
Step by step
Fields and options
| Field / action | Meaning and use |
|---|---|
| Pickup Groups card | Name, description, pickup number, partition, number of members, notification, notification timer, calling party and called party information. |
| Hunt Groups card | Name, description, Hunt Pilot with partition, alerting name, pickup and call counts from the CDRs. |
| Line Group card | Name, ring time in seconds, distribution and number of members. |
| Action | For hunt groups Update, Manage Members, Delete. For pickup groups Modify Pickup Group, Manage Members, Delete. |
| Logs | Log of the group changes, in each case at the top right of the page. |
Check the result and troubleshoot
- If a menu item is missing, the corresponding page permission is missing.
- A membership alone does not guarantee call delivery. Check registration, HLOG status and group sign-in of the line.
- If the card shows no call counts, there is no CDR data for the Hunt Pilot. Check the CDR import.
- Deleted hunt groups can be restored; the dialog asks whether the pickup groups should be restored as well.
