Administration
Ensure hunt group login on a schedule
Automatically log in members during defined periods when nobody is logged in.
In EasyUC: EasyUC Cisco → Administration → CUCM & Provisioning → Hunt Group Login
What it is for
A hunt group cannot be reached if all members have logged out via HLOG. The hunt group login prevents this for defined periods.
During the periods, EasyUC checks whether at least one member is logged in. If nobody is logged in, EasyUC logs in the members selected for this and sends an e-mail if required. This is a different function from the group login, with which users control their participation per group themselves.
Prerequisites
- Access to the administration of the Cisco workspace, licence module
cucm. - An existing hunt group with a line group and members.
- For the notification: a working SMTP configuration.
Step by step
Fields and options
| Field / action | Meaning and use |
|---|---|
| Hunt Group | There is one setup per hunt group. If you select a group that is already configured, the dialog switches to edit mode. |
| Members selected for auto login | Lines whose phones EasyUC logs in when nobody is logged in. |
| Periods | One or more periods per weekday during which at least one member is to be logged in. |
| Timezone | Time zone of the periods per day. |
| Send E-mail to user | Sends the stored text to the entered addresses when EasyUC had to intervene. |
| Actions | Edit, Disable or Enable, and Delete. |
Check the result and troubleshoot
- The list shows for each setup the members, the periods per day, the e-mail dispatch and the state enabled or disabled.
- "Attention! This hunt group was already configured – you are in edit mode": you are changing an existing setup.
- If the login does not take effect, check the time zone and the period and whether the setup is enabled.
- If no e-mail arrives, check the SMTP configuration and the addresses.
- EasyUC only logs members in when no member is logged in. If a single member is logged in, the state stays unchanged.
