Getting started
Orientation and setup order
Interfaces, workspaces and the order from the appliance to the first provisioning.
In EasyUC: Header → Workspace menu
What it is for
EasyUC consists of several interfaces. In the EasyUC Manager (/manager) you operate the appliance: installation, modules, updates, backup, nodes and certificate. In the administration (/admin) you set up telephony. In addition there are the end-user portal (/enduser) and the agent workplace (/agent).
The administration is divided into workspaces. Which ones you see depends on the installed modules. This chapter shows where to find what and in which order to set up a new installation.
Prerequisites
- A commissioned appliance with the EasyUC application installed, see the group "Installation, updates & backup".
- An EasyUC account with the functions enabled for the task. Initial setup is done with the owner account.
- A licence that covers the installed modules.
Step by step
Fields and options
| Field / action | Meaning and use |
|---|---|
| EasyUC Cisco | Users, devices, numbers, groups, templates, reports and CUCM administration. CUCM module. |
| Calling Features | Scripts, call distribution, agents, attendant consoles, phone books and reports. ACD module. In older versions the area was called "ACD AI". |
| Presence Sync | Synchronisation of the call state between Teams and Cisco. Appears when the presence service is operated. |
| EasyUC Teams | SBC setup and administration of the Microsoft Teams tenants. Teams module. |
| Administration | Shared administration functions in the Cisco workspace, grouped into System & Operations, CUCM & Provisioning, Integrations & Communication and Access & Appearance. |
| System | In the workspaces without CUCM, the general system items (licence, users, SMTP, branding) are under System. |
| EasyUC Manager | Separate interface at /manager with its own login. Menu: Übersicht, SSL-Zertifikate, Sicherung, SNMP, System-Updates, EasyUC-Update, Migration 3.x, Werksreset. |
Check the result and troubleshoot
- A missing workspace means that the module is not installed. You change modules in the Manager on the EasyUC card with Module.
- A missing menu item can be due to role, licence, selected workspace or connection settings.
- A visible menu item does not automatically mean that the user may also change or delete there.
- If the login leads to the steps CUCM Connections and License instead of the start page, the initial setup has not been completed yet.
