End-user portal

Sign in to and out of hunt groups

Sign your own number in or out per hunt group, without the HLOG switch on the phone.

EasyUC · Version 4.8.7

In EasyUC: Enduser portal → Dashboard → Group sign-in

What it is for

A hunt group distributes calls to several numbers. In the Group sign-in area you define per group whether your number currently receives calls from this group.

The HLOG key on the phone signs the whole device out of all hunt groups. Group sign-in in the portal is finer: you change the participation of a single number in a single line group.

When you sign out, EasyUC removes your number from the line group in CUCM and remembers the membership. When you sign in, it is entered again. Signed-out memberships therefore stay visible in the portal.

Prerequisites

  • The enduser portal is switched on for your CUCM connection (Enable Enduser Local Site) and you can sign in.
  • The administrators have released Hunt groups on dashboard.
  • The administrators have enabled Group sign-in for your CUCM connection and saved the membership baseline. If the function is switched off, the area does not appear.
  • Your number was a member of the line group when the baseline was saved. You can sign in and out only such permitted memberships.
  • The number is assigned to you alone. For shared numbers the single change is locked.

Step by step

  1. Open the Dashboard and go to the Group sign-in area.
  2. Each row shows a group with Line group, Hunt pilot and your number. The status Signed in or Signed out is on the right.
  3. Click Sign out to stop receiving calls from this group.
  4. Click Sign in to take part again.
  5. Wait for the message Group status updated.
  6. Refresh reloads the state from CUCM.

Check the result and troubleshoot

  • Success: the status changes and the member list in the Hunt Groups area is correct. Call the hunt pilot to check.
  • “There are no permitted group memberships for your numbers yet.”: no membership is saved for your numbers. The administrators must save or reconcile the membership baseline.
  • “The group configuration changed in the meantime. The view has been refreshed; check the current membership.”: someone else changed the group in the meantime. Check the state and repeat the click.
  • “This number is shared. A unique personal assignment is required.”: shared lines cannot be controlled individually here.
  • “The phone is signed out using the device-wide HLOG switch.”: sign the phone in again with the HLOG key.
  • “The CUCM configuration differs from the saved baseline. An administrator must reconcile membership.”: contact the administrators.
  • “Group sign-in is currently unavailable for this membership.”: the function is not released for your connection or membership.
  • “The change could not be confirmed. Please refresh and check the current status.”: click Refresh and check the status before you try again.
