Administration
E-mail notifications and templates
Define for which events users receive an e-mail and what it contains.
In EasyUC: EasyUC Cisco → Administration → Integrations & Communication → E-mail Notification
What it is for
EasyUC can inform users by e-mail when something changes in their telephony: a phone was created or deleted, a voicemail box was set up, a remote destination was changed, the user was added to a hunt group or pickup group, or a password was set.
There is exactly one template for each of these events. You switch them on or off individually and maintain the subject and text in English, German and Spanish. When sending, EasyUC replaces placeholders in double curly braces with the values of the user, the device or the group.
Prerequisites
- An account with the access type Administrator (full access) (
ROLE_APP_ADMIN) or the owner account (ROLE_OWNER). Only these accounts see the Administration menu. - E-mail delivery is set up and tested under SMTP Configuration.
- The affected users have an e-mail address.
Step by step: editing and switching on a template

Checking the result and narrowing down errors
- Success: the Active column shows Yes, and the preview shows the subject and text in every maintained language.
- The preview does not replace placeholders and does not send anything. As a trial, trigger the event with a test user and check the mail received.
- A placeholder appears unchanged in the mail: it is not intended for this template type or is misspelled. Use only the names listed in the blue box.
- No mail arrives: check one after the other whether the template is active, whether the user has an e-mail address and whether Send Test E-Mail works in the SMTP configuration.
- Automatic provisioning, hunt group login, webhooks and report schedules have their own recipient fields and are independent of these templates.
