Template 2.0: users, profiles, groups and patterns per location

Enable the other Template 2.0 areas and create additional packages with their own values.

What it is for

Besides phones, Template 2.0 covers all other CUCM object types that EasyUC creates: users, Device Profiles, analog ports, CTI Route Points, Remote Destination and Mobile Identity, pickup groups, hunt groups and Translation Patterns.

Each area is switched on or off individually per location. A template type that is switched off is not offered at this location. Shared line values come from IP-Telefone & Video (IP phones & video).

If a group of users at the same location needs different values, create an additional package with its own configuration.

Prerequisites

Template 2.0 is selected and the area IP-Telefone & Video is complete for the location.
Permission Update Template Settings (ROLE_APP_UPDATE_TEMPLATE_SETTINGS).
For additional packages: packages are assigned to the location under Administration → CUCM & Provisioning → Packages.

Step by step: Set up an area for a location

In the Templates menu, open the desired area, for example Pickup Groups.
Select the location under Standorte (locations).
Switch the area on. The switch shows Aktiv (active) or Deaktiviert (disabled).
Enter the Namensformat (name format). Variables such as {{userId}}, {{phoneNumber}}, {{firstName}} and {{location}} are permitted.
Fill in the area-specific fields (see Fields and options).
Click Einstellungen speichern (save settings).

Step by step: Additional package with its own values

Select the location and, under Basiskonfiguration und zusätzliche Pakete (base configuration and additional packages), click Paket hinzufügen (add package).

Under Paket für diese Konfiguration (package for this configuration), select a package that is assigned to the location.
Enter the differing user, device and line values.
Click Einstellungen speichern. With Zusätzliche Konfiguration entfernen (remove additional configuration) you delete the additional package again.

Fields and options

Fields and options
Field / action	Meaning and use
Benutzer (users)	Benutzer-ID-Format (user ID format), Standard-Benutzergruppen (optional) (default user groups) and Presence Group (optional). The selection comes from CUCM.
Device Profiles	Extension Mobility profiles: name format, description format, optionally Device Pool, partition and Calling Search Space.
Analog-Ports (analog ports)	MGCP and SCCP ports: name and description format, optionally Device Pool, partition, Calling Search Space and Standard-Protokoll (default protocol) SCCP or MGCP.
CTI Route Points	Virtual CTI endpoints: name and description format, optionally Device Pool, partition, Calling Search Space.
Remote Destination & Mobility	RDP and Mobile Identity together: name and description format, Calling Search Space, Rerouting Calling Search Space (optional), No Answer Timer (Sekunden) (seconds) from 1 to 300.
Übernahmegruppen (pickup groups)	Name format, partition, Nummernbereich von (number range from) and Nummernbereich bis (number range to). The next number is determined from the actual CUCM inventory in the selected partition. At the end of the range, EasyUC uses a gap that is still free.
Sammelgruppen (hunt groups)	Name format, partition, Calling Search Space, Verteilungsalgorithmus (distribution algorithm: Top Down, Circular, Longest Idle, Broadcast), Maximale Wartezeit (Sekunden) (maximum wait time in seconds) from 0 to 86400, Maximale Warteschlangenlänge (maximum queue length) from 0 to 1000.
Translation Patterns	Name format, partition, Calling Search Space, Standard-Aktion (default action: Anruf routen, route the call, or Anruf blockieren, block the call) and Urgent Priority standardmäßig aktivieren (enable Urgent Priority by default).
Device Pool / Calling Search Space (optional)	Without a selection, the location default from IP-Telefone & Video applies.

Distinguish gateway ports, CTI endpoints and reachability

Actual assignment happens during creation: analogue ports use the existing gateway port’s name, index and protocol; a protocol field does not convert the gateway. CTI route points are virtual SCCP endpoints with one line. Additional user reachability requires the mobile number, lines and schedule.

After saving, select the actual interface or port on the gateway for creation.
Check the resulting name and line, then create the CTI route point.
Check location/package, mobile number, lines, delays and schedule, then save reachability.

Complete groups and routing rules with explicit inputs

Pickup groups receive a genuinely free number from the configured range; name and description come from creation. Hunt groups preselect the algorithm, while members and required queue settings are checked in the group workflow. Translation patterns require the actual pattern and calling/called-party masks from the creation dialog.

Create a group with location/package, name and description, then add the desired member lines.
Assign members, check order and queue settings and assign a pickup group if required.
Enter the pattern and required calling/called-party masks in the creation dialog and check the result.

Check the result and troubleshoot

„Dieser Vorlagentyp wird an diesem Standort nicht angeboten.“ (this template type is not offered at this location): The area is disabled for the location.
„Wählen Sie ein zugeordnetes Paket. Jedes Paket darf pro Standort nur einmal konfiguriert werden.“ (select an assigned package; each package may only be configured once per location): The package is missing or selected twice.
„Für diesen Standort ist noch kein Paket zugeordnet.“ (no package is assigned to this location yet): Assign a package to the location through Pakete verwalten (manage packages).
„Presence-Gruppen und Benutzergruppen konnten nicht aus dem CUCM geladen werden. Die gespeicherten Werte bleiben erhalten.“ (presence groups and user groups could not be loaded from CUCM; the saved values are kept): Check the CUCM connection and click Erneut laden (reload).
After saving, use a test creation per area to check name, partition and CSS in CUCM.
