End-user portal
Set up call forwarding in the enduser portal
Forward calls immediately, on busy, on no answer or by schedule to another destination.
In EasyUC: Enduser portal → Call Forward Settings
What it is for
With call forwarding, calls for your number go to another destination, for example a mobile phone, a colleague or your voicemail. You set this per number.
The portal writes the setting directly to the line in CUCM. It therefore applies at once and on all phones that use this number.
The administrators determine which destinations can be reached through the calling permissions of the line. For Forward All you can also create a schedule with different destinations per weekday and time.
Prerequisites
- The enduser portal is switched on for your CUCM connection (Enable Enduser Local Site) and you can sign in.
- At least one number is assigned to you.
- If the administrators have switched on Show Only Call Forward All, you see only Forward All. The other forwarding types are hidden.
- For forwarding to Voicemail, a voicemail number must be stored for your connection.
Step by step: set a forwarding
Step by step: schedule for “Forward All”
Fields and options
| Field / action | Meaning and use |
|---|---|
| Forward All | Forwards every call immediately. Your phone does not ring. |
| Forward Busy Internal / Forward Busy External | Forwards when your line is busy. Separate for internal and external callers. |
| Forward No Answer Internal / Forward No Answer External | Forwards when you do not answer the call. |
| Forward Unregistered Internal / Forward Unregistered External | Forwards when none of your phones is registered with CUCM. |
| Forward No Answer Timer | Ring time in seconds until forwarding. CUCM accepts values from 1 to 300. |
| Voicemail | Forwards to the voicemail number. The destination field is locked. Not selectable if no voicemail number is stored or a schedule is active. |
| Destination field | Digits, * and # are allowed, optionally with a leading +, at most 50 characters. The portal removes spaces, hyphens, slashes, brackets and dots when saving. |
| schedule | Only for Forward All. Per day: time zone and one or more periods with destination, start and end. Periods of one day must not overlap. |
Check the result and troubleshoot
- Success: the portal shows a success message. Call your number from another phone and check that the destination rings.
- “CSS is not set for this option”: the line has no calling permission for this forwarding type. The field is locked. Contact the administrators.
- “Invalid destination … only digits, * and # (optionally with a leading +), at most 50 characters.”: the destination contains characters that are not allowed or is too long.
- “CFNADuration should be greater than or equal to 1 and less than or equal to 300 for Directory Numbers”: the timer is outside 1 to 300 seconds.
- “You need to specify at least one day” or “Some periods overlap with another period …”: a day is missing in the schedule or periods overlap.
- The destination does not ring although the setting was saved: the calling permission of the line does not allow the destination. The administrators decide this in CUCM.
- “Deleting the destination will remove the schedule!”: notice from the portal. If you remove the destination of Forward All, the schedule is dropped as well.
