What it is for

A package groups the equipment a user gets at a location. In the proven template model, the templates are attached to packages: if you select a package during creation, you are offered only its templates. With Template 2.0, a package can carry an additional configuration with its own values at the location.

Packages exist only in EasyUC. Nothing is created in the CUCM as a result.

Prerequisites

  • Access to the administration of the Cisco workspace.
  • At least one location.

Step by step

  1. Open Administration → CUCM & Provisioning → Packages. The page is called Manage Packages.
  2. Click Create.
  3. Enter the Name.
  4. Under Locations, select the locations where the package is to apply.
  5. Click Save.
  6. In the proven model, assign the templates to the package: on the template, Actions → Edit Packages.
  7. With Template 2.0, create an additional configuration for the package under Templates → Settings if required.
  8. Check in a creation form that the package is offered after you select the location.

Check the result and troubleshoot

  • The package appears in the list with its locations.
  • If a package is not offered in the creation form, it is not assigned to the selected location.
  • With Template 2.0, the Template settings page reports „Für diesen Standort ist noch kein Paket zugeordnet.“ (no package is assigned to this location yet) as long as the assignment is missing.
  • Before deleting, check whether templates, Template 2.0 configurations or automatic provisioning use the package.
