EasyUC for Microsoft Teams

Teams number plan and number assignment

View all phone numbers of the Teams tenant and assign numbers to users or resource accounts.

EasyUC · Version 4.8.7

In EasyUC: EasyUC Teams → Teams → Teams Tenants → tenant → Number plan

What it is for

The number plan shows all phone numbers Microsoft holds for this tenant: numbers from Operator Connect, Direct Routing and Calling Plan. For each number you see type, owner, operator and whether EasyUC uses it as the target of a script.

From the number plan you assign a number to a Teams user or resource account, or take an assignment back. EasyUC does this through Teams PowerShell. Beforehand a preview shows which steps run, whether the user has a Teams Phone licence and Enterprise Voice, and what is in the way.

The numbers themselves come from Teams PowerShell. Microsoft Graph only supplies the display name of the owner.

Prerequisites

  • Licence module teams. Without this module the EasyUC Teams workspace does not appear.
  • Role EasyUC Teams (ROLE_APP_TEAMS_WORKSPACE) with the sub-permissions TENANTS (ROLE_APP_TEAMS_TENANTS) to read and TENANTS bearbeiten (ROLE_APP_TEAMS_TENANTS_EDIT) to change.
  • EasyUC is signed in to Teams PowerShell or an app registration is stored. Without a sign-in the number plan stays empty.
  • For display names and the user search: Graph credentials with User.Read.All.
  • For an assignment: the target user has a Teams Phone licence. The preview checks this.

  5. Check Currently assigned to, Teams Phone licence, Enterprise Voice and Current number of the user.

Check the result and narrow down errors

  • Success: after closing the dialog the row in the number plan shows the new owner. The number also appears in the user details under Teams phone number.
  • “Microsoft Graph credentials are missing” with the note “Without Graph credentials the numbers still come from Teams PowerShell, but the display name of the owner stays empty.” The list works, just without names.
  • “This tenant does not return any telephone number.” Check the sign-in to Teams PowerShell on the Settings page.
  • „Die Rufnummernart konnte nicht ermittelt werden: …“ There is no usable PowerShell sign-in. Sign in again.
  • „Diese Nummer ist im EasyUC-Script „…“ als … hinterlegt. Eine Änderung in Microsoft Teams wirkt sich auf die Erreichbarkeit dieses Scripts aus.“ Change the script first or cancel.
  • Teams Phone licence unknown is not a confirmed licence. Check the licence in Microsoft 365 before assigning.
  • If execution fails, the message from Microsoft is shown in the dialog. Reload the number plan before trying again so that you start from the actual state.
