EasyUC for Cisco
Music on hold and MoH sources
Create audio files as Music on Hold sources and distribute them to the MoH servers of the cluster.
In EasyUC: EasyUC Cisco → Groups → MOH Sources
What it is for
Callers hear music on hold while they are on hold or waiting in the queue of a hunt group. In the CUCM this requires an MOH Audio Source whose file is present on every MoH server.
EasyUC handles both: it creates the source and uploads the file to the MoH servers that are selected on the CUCM connection. You see the progress per node.
Prerequisites
- Licence module
cucm. - Permissions View MOH Sources Page (
ROLE_APP_VIEW_MOH_SOURCE_PAGE), Create MOH Sources, Update MOH Sources and Delete MOH Sources, depending on the task. - The nodes are selected on the CUCM connection under Actions → MoH servers.
- An audio file is available.
Step by step: Create a source
Step by step: Replace the file or retry the upload
Fields and options
| Field / action | Meaning and use |
|---|---|
| Name | Name of the MOH Audio Source in the CUCM. |
| File | Audio file that EasyUC converts and uploads to the nodes. |
| Status | Pending, Success, Success Partial, Error, File Convert Error, Pending Partial or Pending Update File. |
| Node | Per MoH server: status (Pending, Success, Error), timestamp and, in case of errors, the message. |
| Source Id / Multicast / Repeat / External | Details of the source from the CUCM, shown on the card. |
Check the result and troubleshoot
- Success on all nodes means: the file is present on every selected MoH server.
- Success Partial: at least one node is missing. Check whether it is reachable and use Retry Upload.
- File Convert Error: EasyUC could not convert the file. Use a different audio file.
- "Not Managed by EasyUC": the source was created directly in the CUCM. File actions are not available for it.
- If you delete a source that is still in use, the music on hold of the affected objects changes.
