Request devices and group memberships

Apply in the portal for an additional device or for membership in a pickup or hunt group.

EasyUC · Version 4.8.7

In EasyUC: Enduser portal → Devices → Requestable Devices / Dashboard → Request

What it is for

With requests you apply for things you may not set up yourself: an additional device, for example a Jabber client, or adding your number to a pickup group or hunt group.

Device requests go to the administrators. If they accept the request, EasyUC creates the device in CUCM with the settings of your location.

Group requests go to the members of the group. Any member can accept or reject the request. On acceptance EasyUC enters your number into the group in CUCM.

Prerequisites

  • The enduser portal is switched on for your CUCM connection (Enable Enduser Local Site) and you can sign in.

Check the result and troubleshoot

  • Success: message “Request Sent!” and the request is shown as in pending in the portal.
  • “Unable to Request Devices, please contact your System Administrator!”: no package is assigned to your location or your location could not be determined. Contact the administrators.
  • “No requestable devices found!”: the package of your location contains no further device types for you.
  • “You are not allowed to make a group request!”: requests are not released for your connection.
  • “You are not a member of this pickup group.”: you tried to decide on a request for a group you are not a member of.
  • The request stays in pending for a long time: for devices the administrators decide, for groups a member of the group. Talk to the person responsible.
