Numberplan Exclude Patterns
Define translation and route patterns that the pattern check of the number plan is to ignore.
In EasyUC: EasyUC Cisco → Administration → CUCM & Provisioning → CUCM Connections → Actions → Number plan: excluded patterns
What it is for
The number plan can check whether a number is covered by a translation pattern or route pattern in the CUCM. You switch on the check per number range with Check for Translation Pattern/Route Pattern. If a pattern matches, EasyUC marks the number so that it is not assigned as a line by mistake.
Very general patterns, such as a catch-all pattern for an entire number block, would match every number of the range. With this action you exclude such patterns from the check. For this, EasyUC reads the translation and route patterns from the CUCM and leaves out the selected ones in the comparison. EasyUC takes the same list into account when it offers numbers from the number plan during the assignment of line buttons.
The setting changes nothing in the CUCM. The patterns remain in place there and continue to route.
Prerequisites
- License with provisioning (
provisioning). Without it, the entry is missing from the Actions menu. - Sign-in as an administrator. In the menu definition, the Administration menu is assigned only to the role
ROLE_APP_ADMIN. - The CUCM connection is enabled. For a disabled connection, Actions shows only Enable Connection.
- The pattern check is switched on for at least one number range. Without it, the list has no effect on the number plan.
- You know which patterns in the CUCM deliberately overlap numbers of the plan.
Step by step
Fields and options
| Field / action | Meaning and use |
|---|---|
| Translation/Route Patterns | Multiple selection from the translation and route patterns of the CUCM of this connection, with search. The search takes all partitions into account. Default: empty, that is, no exception. The German interface shows this label in English as well. |
Checking the result and narrowing down errors
- Success: numbers that were matched only by an excluded pattern are no longer marked as a pattern match in the number plan.
- The marking remains: another pattern that is not excluded matches the number as well. Compare with the patterns in the CUCM.
- The marking changes only when EasyUC synchronizes the number plan with the CUCM again.
- The pattern you are looking for is missing from the selection: only translation and route patterns are offered. Check the notation and the AXL connectivity.
- Exclude only patterns whose overlap is intended. An exception does not make a number that is actually routed free.
